Gartour was born on 1996 with the need to convey in Incoming, the experience as Outgoing Tour Operator built thru 10 years of work by the society that owns hotel properties in Italy.
In fact, the name “Gartour” is the consequence of the implementation of GAR a rl company (hotel administration in Rome) with TOUR, to develop the activity as Incoming Tour Operator.
In its main headquarter in Rome located in Via Volturno, today, around 70 people make part of a very dynamic staff with a head supervisor for each section that counts with more than 10/15 years experience in the tourism industry.
Later, offices and branches have been opened in: Milan at Galleria Buenos Aires, in the heart of the city, where a staff of 12 people is specialized in the Incentive and Congress for North Italy and can count on their experience of more than 20 year, and in Rimini with a staff of 16 people.
In Florence, Cagliari (Sardinia isle), Ischia Isle, and Amalfitan Coast as well as in Moscow, Kiev and in Georgia at Tblisi, there are local prestige offices with Gartour’s staff and with the presence of specialized persons in Outgoing Tourism towards Italy. Every week for the last 8 years approximately, we guarantee regular departures of Tours in Italy from main airports: Milan, Venice, Neaples, Rimini, Ancona, Forli, Genova and Rome for the Russian clientele.
This difficult market has well put Gartour to the test on a attentive product and a careful management control of credits and the relation with the Italian embassies and consulates abroad. Besides the Italian staff, in our branch offices there are employees that are native and speak Russian, Spanish, French, and of course English too, so as to serve better all our different partners and correspondents that count today approximately 500, which bring in a sales turnover of nearly 43/44 million Euros
The strength of Gartour is also the fact of belonging to a Tourism Holding H.T.S. (HOLDING TOURISM SYSTEM) where are present GT Events, specialized in Incentive and Congresses as well as any special events all over Italy, GAR owner of hotels in Rome(Alpi 4 stars Hotel in the centre of Rome )and shares in two other hotels (A 3 star in Santa Maria Maggiore area and another 3 star in the Castelli Romani area) and the New Born since being 2007 REGAL TRAVEL specialized ONLY in Luxury Tourism.
Making part of this group, also important shares in a bus rental company (that owns five large coaches, from 52 to 54 seats),and a restaurant in the Trastevere area (old neighbourhood of Rome) with almost 120 places. The company also has shares in a important four star hotel in Costa Smeralda (Sardinia).
The real state owned by the company is a further element of credit guarantee towards hotels that have always trusted the name of the owners, who have worked in the tourism industry for more than 35 years. The credits institutes such as “Intesa San Paolo” (Agencia 16 de Viale Parioli Roma) or “Banca Popolare di Bergamo e Credito Varesino” (Sede di Roma), can reference the Holding’s and Gartour’s financial stength. As a matter of fact, there are no overdrawn accounts neither financial intervention in any of the societies under the family’s control, beeing operational figures against the principle of beeing independent and not subject to authorization for any financial operation.
This profile of the our various activities must be clearly retained confidential and with the only purpose to operate a healthy and serious tourism organization that can really be considered innovating on its product formulation, either for groups or individuals, for whom until now, has not had a direct partnership with us.
